MSOC-UK Council

MSOC UK Council, administration body of United Kingdom diocese. Council formed in the year 2009 under leadership of H.G. Coorilos Mor Geevarghese Metropolitan. Council lead by Metropolitan in-charge elected by the Church Synod. The elected Vice - President and Clergy Secretary will be the same person, and will assist the regional metropolitan in running of the diocese. Secretary and the treasurer of the council will be elected by the regional council meeting. The term duration for all the above post are fixed two years. Every parish has one elected council representative. The accounts are audited and published annually.

Appointed as our Metropolitan on the 1st December 2022. Replaced our former partiarchal vicar, H.G. Mathews Mor Anthimos who served the diocese for 5 years.

H.G. is currently also in-charge of Mylapore and Bangalore dioceses. Previously served as the patriarchal vicar for the dioceses of Delhi and United Arab Emirates.

Councilors: 2022- 2024


The recent MSOC UK parish representative meeting was held on July 31, 2022. The meeting was presided by H.G. Mathews Mor Anthimos, new council representatives and board of trustees were all elected. The annual report and audit report were all presented at the meeting. Notably, new church spiritual wings and establishment of new parishes at various part of the UK were the key points of the meeting.
